Christian Cliches, God Particles, And Hitch

What appears to be a blurry, out of focus image below is actually a blurry shot from my latest excuse for having a bit of rum in the mid afternoon -- the video Top Ten Cliches Christians Say.

I wrote down the jokes on Purgatory a few days ago. They were the direct cause of my defriending and blocking someone of Facebook who insisted on engaging in FOX News inspired non-logic(obfuscation, ad hominem attacks, etc.) and trollish behavior.

This short I made from a series of memes I cooked up from the discovery of the Higgs boson. I posted some of the memes on Purgatory about a week ago, and added a few new ones for this vid.

If you are interested in seeing some of the other videos I've done you can click here to get to Purgatory's Youtube channel.

This piece I found via Helen Sotiriadis, the excellent photographer who runs the blog Too Many Tribbles. Here we find Hitch in a debate concerning reparations for slavery. He opens with a discussion concerning the Elgin Marbles (pieces of the Parthenon that were taken in the 18th century and now housed in the British Museum). My family is going over to England, Scotland, and Norway next year (all places where people have offered to house the lot of us), and due to Hitch I will be able to give a synopsis -- as well as the correct pronunciation -- of the Elgin Marbles

Oh, if it means anything, and I seriously doubt it does, Purgatory has gotten well over 300,000 hits. I don't really keep track of these things and just noticed it this morning. Yay me.

  1. Darn scientists, they should have cloned the "Hitch" by now! Hitch would have made great minced meat out of the Republicans, especially Romney.
"Oh say can you see, by the dawn's early light....?" Hey, Chris, it's great to see you again....
